We created the name and visual identity for award-winning, sustainable children’s headphones, Kibu. Conceived, designed and built by our friends at Morrama and Batch.works, the headphones embrace the playful chaos that kids bring to the tech user experience.

The visual language was born from the elemental trilogy of ‘build’, ‘repair’ and ‘recycle’. We translated these words into pure geometric forms: the building block, the band-aid, and the recyla-circle. The unity of these shapes gave birth to our cuddly K. It’s cuteness is completed by Moderat semibold and contrasted by Isola semi-mono regular – its almost-but-not-quite tech vibe provides rigour, structure and a touch of human imperfection.
